Dinterra Pty Ltd Trading as "Mackay & Sons"

The bridge construction and civil engineering works of the business known as Mackay & Sons originally commenced in 1948 when it was conducted by Mr. K.A. Mackay, father of the present Director of Dinterra Pty Ltd Mr. S. Mackay. In 1958 Mr. S. Mackay became a partner with his father in the firm of Mackay & Sons. The firm incorporated on 22nd December 1981 (Dinterra Pty Ltd) and the company now trades as Mackay & Sons. The Directors of Dinterra Pty Ltd are Mr. Steward Mackay and his wife Mrs. Delma Olive Mackay.

Since inception the firm has undertaken construction work in or for no less than 39 local authorities in Queensland. In addition to undertaking construction work for the Shire Councils, Main Roads etc., the company has constructed bridges for the Isis and Bingera Sugar Mills, wharfs and berthing facilities for the Fraser Island Sand Mining Group and undertaken construction work for Nolan's Abattoirs, Eldorado Mining Co. of Gympie and the Tin Can Bay Marina.
