Business Capability Statement
Locally Owned & Operated
"We pride ourselves with our Quality & Safety"
A relatively new Engineering Company commenced with a vision of enterprise in 2005, when the Principal Jason McPherson commenced his own business, offering an Engineering and Maintenance service to local Industry, for regular maintenance and shut down services.MAINTENANCE
To maintain a capable and experienced workforce, Jason had to go outside Local Industry to maintain continuity of maintenance work. One of the local Companies is Nestle Australia with very stringent Safety Policies and cleanliness is paramount. These qualities are instilled into our workforce - Safety and a Clean Workshop.
FABRICATION
As the Engineering business grew Fabrication was a natural progression. This also provided permanent work for local tradespeople, many of whom were traveling to mines for work. With fabrication progressing the next step was to start our own apprentices. From our first apprentice in 2006 we now have 5 apprentices and 2 school based apprentices. Fabrication has now become the major part of our business supplemented by Maintenance Shut downs . Fabrication needed an Engineer and the Company uses Meecham Engineers, based in Buderum, Doug is a very practical Engineer with many years of valuable experience.

CraneACHIEVEMENTS
Apart from getting accolades from clients on our quality (from such people as Aran Management, Sandvik, Nestle Australia, P.J. McCarthy Builders, and Visy Industry) we were runner up in "Employer of the Year" Regional finalist in 2008. Our apprentices receive commendable remarks at TAFE and are considered well above average in their trades.
EXPANSION
In 5 years we have expanded from 2 bays in a rented shed to a new Engineering Workshop 20.0Mtrs x 40.0Mtrs x 9.0Mtrs high with a 5 tonne o'head crane. Fabrication of a wide variety of steelwork has followed.

SAFETY
Our principal is paramount about Safety and we have Weekly Tool Box Meetings, Monthly Management meetings and safety, quality and continuous improvement are discussed at all of these. We have had no LTI's in nearly 5 years operation during which time our workforce grew to around 50 numbers.
QUALITY & SERVICE
We pride ourselves on our quality and delivery on time. Some stringent deadlines have been met and to meet these a night shift has been worked, which utilizes our machinery, plant and workspace.
CRANAGE
With the acquisition of a 14tonne Franna Crane we are able to diversify to allow us to erect steelwork. This benefit is that we can Fabricate, Surface Treat, Deliver and Erect Steelwork without relying on 3rd parties for supply of machinery.
CAPABILITY & SERVICES
With the acquisition of Stru Cad Drafting Program, we can now complete our own Workshop Drawings with our own drafsman, Fabrication and Erection of Steelwork. An excellent team of Boilemakers, Fitters, Pressure Welders, Riggers, Crane drivers, Draftsman, Trades Assistants and Apprentices allows us to offer a complete range of Trades for Maintenance Services as well as having quality Trades people in the Workshop, to service a wide range of Industry, including Quarries, Builders, Food Processors, Mines, Manufacturers, Abattoirs, Concrete Plants and Plant Operators. The 14 tonne Franna Crane is also used in some of these maintenance programs.
Fabrication of a wide variety of steelwork including - Economizers, Bridges, Bridge railings, Trommels, Sheds, Intricate Framework, Structural Steelwork and Pipework, is all as a result of the experienced workforce that we employ.
Stru Cad and an experienced drafsman is just an additional service.
